I qualified in 1989 from Bristol University, and then was awarded my MFGDP qualification in 2003.
I worked in the hospital dental service before joining Madeley Dental & Implant Clinic in 1992, as an associate dentist, so I have been a familiar face for over 25 years!!
I joined the partnership 1997 and worked with the other business owners to expand and improve the facilities and services that the practice offered to its patients.
Since 2017, I have worked as an associate for Portman Healthcare. In my spare time I enjoy cycling and yoga, but not at the same time!

BDS, MFGDP RCS (Eng), MSc Rest (U Manc)
GDC No. 85508
I qualified from the University of Manchester in 2005 with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery, and I completed my Membership of the Joint Dental Faculties qualification in 2008.
I completed a Year Certificate Course in Restorative and Aesthetic Dentistry in London. And more recently (May 2017), I gained my Master's degree, with distinction, in the same subject at Manchester University.
I joined Madeley Dental in 2016 and have enjoyed working here from the start. I Iove to take my time with my patients, to get to know them, and to find out how they would like me to help. My 'dental' passion is minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry - meaning always trying to be conservative whilst providing my patients with beautiful, healthy and long-lasting smiles.
I'm married, with two sons, and that keeps me pretty busy. I mostly enjoy hanging out with friends, eating good food, travelling, and playing basketball.
Gurcharn qualified from The University of Birmingham, School of Dentistry (2002) and then successfully completed a PhD in Materials Science at Trinity College Dublin in 2008. He was shortly after awarded Membership to the Faculty of Dental Surgery (MFDS)
Subsequently, Gurcharn proceeded to work as an Honorary Clinical Lecturer and Researcher at Cardiff Dental School. He worked alongside specialists in Restorative dentistry and Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery which further developed his existing skills, enabling him to manage and treat more advanced cases requiring specialist skills. Working in these fields has led Gurcharn to acquire a special interest in periodontology, treating patients both surgically and non-surgically at a specialist level. In addition, his role also involved him lecturing to both undergraduate and postgraduate students in general dentistry, endodontics, and implantology.
Gurcharn aims to provide a high level of care, placing emphasis on prevention, providing comprehensive treatment plans and discussing all treatment options with his patients. He accepts referrals for dental implant and periodontal treatment from within the practice and from dentists from other practices.
Currently he is a board member of the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, an ORE examiner for the GDC and provides postgraduate lectures
