Beth Standing
After qualifying at Leeds University in 2001 I moved back home to Birmingham.
I completed a further post graduate degree in 2003 and joined Madeley Dental practice in 2004.
I have since taken a year long advanced course in Restorative Dentistry so I can provide the best treatment for my patients.
I really enjoy working in Shropshire and especially enjoy improving patients smiles with cosmetic treatments such as veneers.
Fiona Hawkins
Qualified as a dentist in Manchester (1988) worked in general practice in Manchester, Wolverhampton and Stafford where I particularly enjoyed working with children and nervous patients. I started working in orthodontics in 2001.
I joined Madeley Dental Practice in 2004 and have been working exclusively in orthodontics since then. I work three days a week at Madeley and also work at the Princess Royal Hospital alongside the orthodontic consultant, and at a specialist orthodontic practice in Kidderminster.
I am currently undertaking a three year training programme leading to a Diploma in Primary Care Orthodontics.
I am married with three children and my interests include running, reading and travel.
Nick Adams
I was born in Shifnal and spent the first six months of my life in Dawley, so you could say I have not moved far.
I qualified from Birmingham in 1984, and completed by Masters of Science in Endodontics (also known as root canal therapy) at the Eastman Dental Institute, London in 1995. I joined Madeley Dental Practice in 1999 where I accept referrals from within the practice and outside, with dentists referring patients to me. I entered the Specialist List in 2000.
Since 1996 I have worked for one day a week at Birmingham Dental Hospital, where I teach endodontics to undergraduate students from newly qualified dentists, general dentists and dentists undergoing postgraduate qualifications. I also run courses for dentists, and have co-authored a book on root canal therapy.
In my spare time I enjoy cycling.
